OK, i have run into a problem where i have to show my insurance company that my car is a touring model. I tried looking on carfax, etc and everywhere it just says nissan 350z coupe, not indicating the model. what can i do to fax them over that it is actually a touring model ??

your VIN should indicate that.

 

It doesnt, mine just asked what model it is.

 

take the specs from nissans website of the touring model and show them that your car is equipped with leather seats, bose stereo etc.

 

Unless you have the original window sticker, you cannot prove the model. Maybe your local dealer will give you a written statement.

 

your dealer can order a new window stick for your car. depending on when it was purchased. dealerships are suppose to give u the original window sticker when u buy the car... alot of them dont do it tho.

I recently traded my '04 Touring in on a new '06 GT. When I went to switch my insurance over, they (Gieco) knew it was a GT based off the VIN. They also upped my rate by about $8 bucks a month.
