Default 2006 350z weights more than 2006 altima 3.5?

I was looking at curb weight of the two vehicles per my subject line on yahoo and saw that there is about a 100 lb difference. I'm not the most technical but can anyone share some of the major factors or am I reading incorrect information?

I guess '06 owners will have to start a diet to make up for the difference lol.

I am pretty sury I compared the coupe Z with the Altmia. We dont have a back seat and the car is smaller. Is it something with the tye of metal used in the frame, RWD????

The VTEC makes the Z heavy.

But the rsx is still heavier.

My guess would be that the larger wheels on the Z add some weight. And my parents have an Altima and although the build quality feels similiar to the Z, the doors definitely feel lighter and less heavy-duty. I think the Z has extra reinforcement and/or more crap hidden away.

That's cuz the Altima's body is made out of all carbon fiber!

I wish the Z had VTEC.....it would run 12's

The frame is stiffer and heavier as well as being RWD with a drive shaft, rear pumpkin, larger wheels, brakes etc...

Safety features I'm sure are also a reason.
