Cops here have been cool for two years(so far). I figure it's just a matter of time before they hand me the $97.00 ticket. There's a how-to on ****tech. that shows how to build the kind that screws into the tow-hook attachment point. I'm going to fab one this afternoon, before I head up to Seattle for the Golden Gardens Meet. I don't want to meet any of drivesolos ticket-happy tax-men

I have gotten two tickets here in chicago for no licence plate...one in front of my house while parked on the street and the other downtown while parked at the meter....They have also ticketed me for tint on my driver and passenger door window (not on my Z but on a sedan I use to own). If I rememebr correctly there is no contest to those tickets here.

+1 This is what I'm doing on my new Z, although the Z bracket instruction say you have to drill, just into the grill and not the actual bumper, 40 bucks, The stillen one seems better as it screws into the tow hook but it cost more at around 65 bux.

I was just wondering how many of you guys get hassled by cops for not having a front license plate on?

got one not too long ago, went to the park to play some beer-ball (baseball with beer), came back and there was a ticket on my z for no front plates.

$100 $#@$#

I got 2 tickets in 2 days parking in the same spot outside my apartment. What stops a cop calling up his buddies and saying here's a car w/ no front plate...and voila 100 tickets? Blah. I got the z-bracket now. whatevers.

I am in NJ and none of my fun cars have a front plate on them. Years ago I would drive around with the front plate on the passenger side floor. Now it's in the trunk. Never been stopped in more than 10 years. I do put the plate on for state inspection. In Jersey the state inspects vehicles. Plate must be on and secure, it can't be loose.

A year and a half and 16K miles. Not a single problem from cops. There is no way I will drill holes in my bumper for that.

I have not gotten a ticket yet, I personally think the whole ticketing of the no license plate on a Z proves that tickets are given out because WE have the ability to pay for a ticket. God forbid any real police work gets done!

Because the police wrote the silly front license plate law. God forbid the police actually do their job...

Don't like the front plate law, then get out and have the law changed. But don't ***** because someone tasked with enforcing the law actually decided to do so.

Never have been hassled in Cali. Been driving here for over 10 years. Unless you drive like a complete fcuktard you will be fine. Or maybe cops in San Diego just have more important stuff to do?

It all depends.

If you have a pair of **** then there will be no problem, if not then you're screwed.
