I have not had a front plate since 2000 when I bought the M3. Had that car for 6 years with no plates and tinted windows with no problems. no plate on the 06 z for 10 months and no plate on the 07z.

I'll prolly get pulled over tomorrow now that I said that!

Being cheap, I looked at the options, decided on the tow hook option, went to a bolt supply house, got a 100mm x 16mm bolt, ($2, drilled and tapped a 1/4"x24 hole in the middle of the head, plus a couple of star washers, grips really well, used the plastic holder that came with the car, drilled a hole, lower center as I thought maybe there would be air flow problem but I see by the pixs that the Z bracket is square in the middle, so will probably put it that way.

Maybe you should look up the meaning of the word before complaining about harassment...

I'm not disagreeing with you there, just the part about it being an excuse for the police to harass. The police don't write laws, and are there to only enforce them.

Contact your legislaters to change the law in your state. It has worked in numerous other states. Nevada just recently dropped the front plate requirement (for vehicles with no permanent mounting spot in the front). But until then if you decide not to have the front plate, don't get ur panties in a bunch if you get tagged.

well the reason for a front plate is so the the camera at toll boothes and police can see your license plate, as well as the person you passed within an inch of at 150mph

yea no tolls here in wyoming... and by way. in my town. the police harrass people for EVERYTHING. they are all a bunch of powertrips walking around with hardons.

how about getting pulled over for not speeding. he doesn't have a radar of me. was a block behind traffic. and the car next to me was the going faster then me. and he was trying to write me a ticket. maybe that gives u an idea of how much of douches the cops are in my town.

Yep, lots of people do this. Just zip-tie that sucker on, get it signed off, and take it back off!

After getting the z, I would get a few parking tickets that tagged me for no front plate. But then I started to get pulled over by patrol cars and motorcylce cops for the same reason. I finally broke down and got a z-bracket and have been hassle-free since. Cops have explained that with the prevalence of cameras at intersections, there has been increased pressure to ticket non-compliant vehicles.

LOL...the reason why corvettes don't get pulled over for front plates is because of the racial profile of the driver, not the car.

remember 2 get bracket 4 the license plate, u never know when a Beeeeeach po-po gonna f... with you.... just be careful, most five 0's won't mess w/ u cause lots of newer cars need to make holes in the front bumper to get that stupid license plate on. I got a exhaust/ front license plate ticket after having my Z-ride for 4 year.
