Can you blame them though really>? I mean they do drive an RSX. You cant expect to drive a car like that and not get a little cocky..its a beast

But yeah those guys all seem intelligent and appear to be enthusiasts, I can appreciate any kind of criticism when it comes from an intelligent respectful source.

People are still pimping 3000GTs? Didn't know that.. I've only seen two around town and they were relatively slowwwwwww. Oh well, at least there's a worthwhile debate going on and some seem to give some credit to the Z.

I always laugh when i see people comparing a factory turbo car to a NA car. Apples to oranges. Everyone knows that you can get cheap power from a factory turbo car. Atleast some of the people on that board have some sense.

i wouldnt say the Z got much respect there...but i wouldnt expect it it's their forum. And 3000gt's have a bit more close knit group than rsx's so i would expect them to sound a bit more knowledgeable.

i never really got the "my cars 15 years old and cost half your car and im still faster or just as fast" . they sound just like the 300zxtt guy ands some of the older Z guys. But in all honesty if i had one id probably use the same argument. oh well.

99% of the 3000gt's i see are not vr4s...a bpu vr4 will def. edge out any bolt on Z imo

Didn't see a whole lot of respect there more like the usual iordinate amount of hate that Z's always get.

Sure the Z isn't really "fast" but for 26K I paid for it new theres not much else that performs better unless I went out and got some used beater and strapped 12K worth of turbos to it.

Oh well it doesn't really matter I just find it funny.

So the Z is not the fastest, best handling or top dog on the market? An RSX is quick, a vette is quicker and a VR4 is older but as quick/quicker...so what? When are these young punks going to get it? The Z has been around since 1969 in some form or another. There is a history to the car. I think of the Z as the band Tool: a very popular yet still "cultish" or "underground" phenom...There are very few cars in the world with the history and following of the Z. Name a few that are still made : Corvette, Mustang, 911...that's about all I can think of minus a few European specials I am sure I'm unaware of. You can always buy a "better" car, but not many are as recognizable or suave as the Z. They can have their VR4's. You won't hear me posting about my complaints with my car. I know what I bought and I don't regret it...

Can someone please remind those guys that their cars were complete failures? They were competing against supras, 300zx's, and RX-7's and failed pretty damn badly (along with their Dodge sisters (WTF was that car called?)). They need to reread the comparisons people did with those cars then they can start talkin ****..

What cracks me up is when the corvette guys starts talking about how his corvette is faster and handles better. I'd really hope so considering those cars were more than 40K when new.

If you take a look, A LOT of 3/S owners moved from that platform into the 350z/g35c platform. I have been a member of 3si for over 4 years, and noticed a lot of guys buying z's and g's. I own a twin turbo 3000gt Sl - fwd with twins, lol. They are actually one of the more least biased boards i have been on.
