Thanks!
Check with your local car stereo installer, they use sound deadening materials in many of their installations, I believe. You car stereo maniacs out there jump in if I'm wrong.

Boomer--guess.

RAAMmat60 is widely lauded on CAF because it's supposedly better and about 1/2 the cost of Dynamat:

I have not personally used this, though.

Before you get dynamat original, just be warned if you're trying to save a little weight here and there... dynamat original is about 0.8 lbs a sq. foot.

Dynamat extreme is about 0.4lbs sq. ft but about 2x as much.

After reading some reviews I chose to use "brown bread" by a company called b-quiet. It's a dynamat type product, lighter (0.4 lbs sq. ft), and seems to be well liked... I'll be putting it in my Accord so I guess I'll find out just how good it is.

I just don't think I could justify paying the premium for dynamat namebrand when there's tons of sound deadening vendors out there with comparable stuff.

Oooh I wonder how good this Raamat stuff is too?

Good luck.

I've been in a newer generation Accord coupe with Dynamat Original installed in all body panels, trunk, cabin floor, license plate, etc.

And yes, it works. The car on the road had very little cabin noise and also when the stereo system was on there was very little cabin vibration.

I've also been in another car with a generic Dynamat product and the results were pretty good too.

Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between the two products (hence why I'm not too sold on Dynamat considering how expensive it is).
