Question 2006 350z

Hey guys, Just a simple questions, once answered I don't mind if a moderator locks this thread. Im going to the dealership tomorrow, and I was wondering before I buy an 06 z, what is the best way to tell if it has the oil consumption problem? Is there any way to tell except for driving until it lets you know that you need oil?

just dont buy one with 6MT.. that's apparently the only way to avoid it (or to drive it like an old lady )

I have an 06 (made 9/05) with 10500 miles on it and have never had the oil consumption problem. I think your best bet would be to buy an early made 06 or just get an 07. Just my 2 cents.

Shanki456 just be careful and don't believe anything the dealer tells you, good luck and if you have any questions let me know.

I'm sure others have had bad luck with oil consumption problems but I just turned 17k miles on my 06 MT base with 0 oil consumption. I drive it moderately , I get on it occasionally but nothing yet & I also use Mobil one synthetic.
