Very cool! Even in 6th gear at 60mph (2000rpms) looks like the car is still making about 230lbs/ft of torque!!

Dyno runs are usually in 4th gear.....1:1 ratio (gearing)so hp figures are on target.

"for the ppl who aren't seeing it ....the dyno graph is under "technical gallery"

It looks like a lot of the available resources are at hand (and foot) down low......should be fun.

Uhmmmm, this dyno chart is from an engine dyno and not a chassis dyno so no gear was used at all. So it still stands. 6th gear at 60MPH equals 2000 rpms and therefor the engine is churning out 230lbs/ft of torque even at that RPM.

4th gear ratio is 1.271:1 not 1:1. What you said does not make sense. There will never be a gear ratio of 1 because of the rear axle ratio of 3.357:1. Try and learn about gearing before you post as an "expert".

yeah at the wheel dyno runs are run at whatever gear is 1:1 or the closest, the final drive doesnt affect this power rating. Usually its 4th, since on most five speeds fith is actually an overdrive, but on the Z the 1:1 is fifth and sixth is the od.

joeandcarol2, dude you may not have thought but your post did have kinda a rude tone to it, and as you didnt know the normal dynorun procedure (at the wheels on a dynojet) then you also are not an expert, or even knowlegable in any sort of dyno procedure. please dont just lash out, check the facts and ask before saying something is not possible.

did I ever say anything about being an expert? (which you have in quotation marks so I'm curious as to who you are quoting) I can only assume that it is sarcasm and that attitude won't last long around here.

I was wrong in my post if taken literaly and I'll freely admit it. (When posting from work I try to avoid going into detail as my office is next to one of the manager's and he likes popping his head in anytime something starts blowing up....gotta type fast)

Would have been better to say the gearing is closest to a 1:1 ratio in 4th. Thanks for pointing it out.
