Still too much. If been involved in a nose, tail, nose, or whatever, don't do it!!! You are opening a can of worms.

Even the best carpainters and panelbeaters can't hide major damage. This should be enough to put you off. Go have a really thorough look, and I mean take out the carpet from the boot, take out the spare wheel, you will see signs of damage repair, do the same underneath the car, and have a good look around the engine bay and in behind the bumper. Bet you will see signs of damage as well.

When I went to trade it in, the sh#t hit the fan. I had one hell of a time getting a decent deal once the infamous CarFax report would come back on it.
I believe the biggest factor on whether damage is reported to CarFax is the insurance company you are dealing with.
Guess that means thousands of others on the internet also do not get reported. And that is why CarMax is getting sued. Sorry but CarMax is worthless. It doesn't report most of its claims.

It's been known on the internet in forums for a long time. Maybe you should try and search.

Hey man, I am just telling you it isn't as cut and dry as you make it sound.

I am just saying I know for a fact that this is not true due to my own personal experience. Yes, I agree CarFax is worthless and not all accidents get reported. I agree 100%.

But, I do not need to search to find info I know 1st hand to be true.

Well I know from MY experience that every car I had that was in a accident always showed up as clean. Not all were with the same body shop or insurance company either.

I believe you. Just the luck, or un-lock, of the draw I guess.

I would not pay 20K for an 03 Z that was not in a wreck. Its a almost 5 year old sports car. Spend 7k more and get a new one.
