Even the best carpainters and panelbeaters can't hide major damage. This should be enough to put you off. Go have a really thorough look, and I mean take out the carpet from the boot, take out the spare wheel, you will see signs of damage repair, do the same underneath the car, and have a good look around the engine bay and in behind the bumper. Bet you will see signs of damage as well.
