Base guys.. Do you wish you stepped up?
To an Enthusiast? I'm looking at a base 06 and 07 but no LSD kinda rain's on my parade. Should i step up to the next model just for the LSD?

I don’t know which model suits your needs, but I can tell you what members are driving.
Edit: I updated the chart and added the Roadster.

Thanks david. I have my eye on an 03 touring but i don't need it's leather or power seat but i want the damn LSD. Can't imagine driving a RWD car without one.
I bought a 03 base. I think it depends on what you want to do with the car.
if you are going to upgrade:
brakes
LSD
wheels
then a higher model doesn't make sense.
the ONLY reasons I wish I would have stepped up is to get the Brembos, but that would have required me to spend alot more at the time and I truthfully didn't even think about it (newb) and for teh HID lights... even though they aren't that great on the 03s but the 06 are ****ing awesome!
I got a base because: no electronic driving aids, no leather, lightest car. and I never liked a Vlsd and planned on upgrading to the Nismo or a cusco (done) and wanted TE37s (done) and I retrofitted the HIDs and plan on getting 06 lihgts.
and if the 06/07 comes with HID then even less reason.

2 - test drive a 03 and a 06/07
3- I would buy the NEWEST car I could. < always a good idea.
I bought an 06 base b/c I couldn't justify spending over 20k on a used and probably abused car. I'm happy without all the extras. I have just as much fun... but I haven't tracked the car. That could be the difference in loving or hating my car.

I have a 05 base and i put the oem vlsd in it, well worth the money, but remember that there is no traction control, so it would be easy to wrap it around a pole if you drove like a jackass. it would be nice to have brembos, but that is really the only thing i feel like i'm missing. everything else is a bunch of crap i don't need.

As for the traction control saving my ***. I don't plan on taking corner's at 100 mph or anything stupid. I'm almost 30 and i got all that stuff out of my system when i was 19
This also isn't going to be my first RWD car. More like my 6th.
I sometimes hate it for not having the LSD and cruise but I can manage without both...And down the road I do plan on adding a LSD so its not biggy for me. So to answer your question, it would have been easier to go with the Enthusiast but the base is just fine for me.

I'm sure it's going to be weird but if i do buy an 07 base and i'm 99.9999% sure i am now. I will have an LSD installed. I mean **** for the first 3K miles i have to break it in anyway.
