The only reason C&D "sucks" in this instance is because the 350Z didn't win. If they ranked the 350Z first, you guys would be praising C&D. Who cares where the car gets ranked by a magazine. You drive and buy a car hopefully for reasons other than how it does in a magazine test.
I mean, when the 350Z was first in this test http://www.caranddriver.com/features...000-page4.html
No one complained about C&D then.
Despite where the 350Z was placed, I'm just glad it was included in the comparison. I find it interesting to read about the car and have raw data and times to compare with other cars.

C&D's decision to pick the RX-8 as the best sports car in a comparison of four (Mustang, Z, Audi TT and RX-8) seemed rather strange. In fact, I started out be reading the writers' impressions of each car. For the Mazda, it was remarked that the RX-8 could not hold a constant high speed (it had to be downshifted at times) and needed 100 hp more. Also, they believed the car to be useless on the track, but they liked the back seat. The Mustang seemed to ride too harshly and the interior of the Z was cheap despite its great track performance. It would seem that C&D mistakenly judged this group of sports cars with standards that one might use when picking the ideal economy sedan. By their reasoning, the Honda Civic coupe would have won this comparison had it been the fifth "sports" car entered. While I am not saying the Z is superior, I do question the logic used by C&D in this instance when selecting the best sports coupe.

I don't disagree too much with the article. I've always had an issue with the Z's interior compared to other cars in its price range. There is no way the 350Z can have the fit and finish inside and still be sold at it's starting price range. It is in every sense a complete sports car at an affordable price. Not too different from the original 240z concept.

Really wierd criteria they used. If it is a sports car review, and the Z was the fastest around the track, well.....
I do completely understand the refinement comments, but seriously, if they wanted to review touring cars I would have thought the G was a better choice to throw in. Like most of the other cars in the review it has more refinement, a back seat, etc.

Amazing how far behind Ford is when it comes to making power. All of these cars comapared the same, the 350z makes about the same power as the Stang with 2 less pistons. Ford sucks.
And theres still putting on those cheasy *** FAKE hood scoops. That to me says " Fisher Price Generic Garbage". Thats so stupid, we still make fun of those hood scoops whenever see them.
