Default People that feel like they have to show off suck

Whenever I'm just cruising in my Z a lot of people for some reason feel like they have to show off for some reason and its totally annoying. For example I'll be cruising going home just listening to music , doing 80 or so on a 65mph zone and people in anything from civics to suv's just fly by out of nowhere and cut infront and keep going. Another example is I'm just on a regular street and whenever theres a weaker car infront of me like an integra ,civic, rx8 for examples they feel the need to launch at every stop and this is like with heavy 5pm traffic on a regular two way town street. Other example is this other time I'm at a stop going to make a left and this guy in a TC sporting TEIN stickers rolls by infront of me takes a look at the Z then screeches his tires for some reason.

Anyone else get the same ? Anyone else have an insight on as to why these people behave that way ?

yes; ex: Well last weekend I was cruising with by buddy Jes (member here) on the highway and a mustang was busy looking at us accelerating a little and kept going with us into our exit. Last minute the guy realizes he's getting off on the wrong exit swerves off and scraped the hell out his car on the median divider, lol, dumb a**

An inability to play it cool in the presence of a superior vehicle.
I'm just as guilty sometimes. Speeding up to see a beautiful 911 or Viper. I just do it a little more tact.

I think it's because your name is "DK". Who wouldn't want to race the "Drift King"?

I think all Z owners aspire to own a 911 someday.

I take it as a compliment. My car looks racy enough for the idiot in his Toyota Forerunner (for example) to want to show me his stuff. It's really very funny. Smile..enjoy their frustration of you having a cool car to their family/work mobile.

I have actually looked at both, but I think for the time being I'd rather have a Z, when i'm older, richer and maybe going through a mid-life crisis i'll get the 911.

I do agree with the op tho, i hate people who try to do it. When I ride my motorcycle I have idiots try to race me all the time.

I think it comes with the territory. When you have a sports car people respond in kind. Its natural. Get used to it or change to the SUV or sedan you mentioned. That way nobody will even look your way.

Hmm i dont have that problem, though i think i do get mistaken for being a dick more often when i'm driving the Z. Recently I was a good distance behind a truck and another lane was merging onto the highway with a car on it. I sped up so I wouldn't run into the merging vehicle and the guy in front of me gave me the finger for about 30 seconds. I was only on his *** for a second as well. I think he assumed I was just driving like a dick because I have a sports car, not trying to avoid an accident.

Dude I feel ya. I had someone in a cobalt tell me my car was slow. AND I had a damn punk in his Ford Escape rev his engine at me repeatedly. And to top it all off theres another punk with one of those mint green Altimas revving his engine at me whenever I see him. A lot of jealous people around my neighborhood.

The sooner you stop trying to figure out why people are doing whatever, the sooner you'll start enjoying life. Here's a fresh new concept for you: maybe their lane changes, launches and burnouts having nothing to do with you or the car you are in at all. Some people are just stuck in asshat mode 24/7 and you might just so happen upon them in your wanderings. Try not to take everything so personally.
