Why the craze over Carbon Fiber??
i like cf done lightly. such as a cf vented hood (painted but leaving the vents exposed in cf) or a nice cf diffuser, and misc interior pieces. a complete cf or 2 toned car (example--> nitrouz) is just plain sick.
oh and dry cf ftmfw!

Thats what I'm talking about MC. Very clean !
As far as function, not everyone gets a carbon hood for weight reduction, these hoods also serve as heat reduction in the engine bay with the vents.

simple enough even you can understand that
who paints there calipers w/o taking them off? I do, & I think it was pretty smart, I didnt have to take anything off of my car & I painted the only parts of the calipers that matter, the parts that show.
I ended up re-doing them today, I used engine ceramic gloss black, looks damn better & feels really nice after it drys, I love that paint! Also re-painted my muffler w/ this stuff to, it's great
& to whome ever called me a ricer for painting my calipers, your a god damned genious! Man I swear they give me at LEAST a gain of 5 HP per caliper! J/k. God....

i admit i do too!. its easy with a foam art brush and the wide gaps between my LMGT spokes. i do a coat of hight temp engine paint on them every few months.

also have a can of 3M adhesive remover to put on a paper towel if you drip on the spokes like i have before

Me personally, I wanted a vented hood. I looked around for fiberglass vented hood options for the 350Z (Seibon VT) since I was thinking of painting it, but only found one company offering it in Australia. I also found out that the fiberglass cost nearly the same price as the wet CF.
So I ordered the Seibon VT hood with the Areocatch hoodpins. I'll leave the hood as is for this summer, but I already got a quote for the hood being painted with the vents being exposed ($350cdn just for the hood painted, 450cdn with the fenders being blended as well, just in case anyone in Canada was curious) Heh, I might get it painted a month later, who knows
I blame my mod addiction on Nitrouz.
