Default Slowest breakin in history?

300 miles in 2 weeks. Is that pathetic? Or was yours worse?

I can't help it. The Z shares a garage with a 3000GT and two sportbikes. I usually ride a bike to work (keeps miles on the Z low) and we take the 3000GT if we're going to be parking anywhere for an extended amount of time.

I should be done with breakin about...ohhhh...July or so.

haha,

yeah dont feel bad, I had a GSXR-1000 , that I sold about a year ago. At the time, I had a 2002 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab that took close to 2 months to break in.

Though, with the Z, I am bike free! I really want to break this baby in.

She is at the dealer as we speak for the first oil change, it was free so I thought what the hell, plus they are doing an alignment at the same time (was off at delivery).

It has 1,150 miles on it, so I will start to open it up on the drive home!

I have taken it up over 4000 a bit here and there, but have kept things wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy under control, so far.

I cant wait!

Try the frustration of getting your Z during the first week of December in Vermont!! With maybe one day every 2 weeks when the roads cleared enough to drive and a guaranteed washing at the end of the day due to salty roads, I thought this winter would NEVER end!!!!
And now that it has, the V Rod is out of storage!!

Sure glad to be a Z owner, though!!!!

LoL, you want a slow breakin, I know someone with a Z. 1 year or ownership and not even 3000 km.
