i know theres Z's coming because i can smell them when theyre aproaching


usually when i hear a 350z coming i would just stare at it like i;v never seen someting so nice before no matter if its stock or not its still a sexy car to look at... once or twice i been tricked by a G35 sound thoguht it was a z

You can deff. hear the VQ motor when it's comming your way, Z or G or FX my head always snaps around when i hear the tone.

My exhaust "WAS" distinguishable before the test pipes and hks.

Yanno, that is the ONE reason I will never change my exhaust out for an aftermarket. I cant live w/o my exhaust note.

haha. But yea, even if I'm going 75 and there's a Z parked somewhere in a parking lot it catches my attention. It gets scary sometimes.

i can usually pick them out in traffic at least a 1/4 mile behind i can just see the outline from the back and and see the turn signals/reverse lights and know its a z.

I reckon all the Z's have a very distinctive note. The 240/260/280 all have a similar exhaust note, 300 (Z32) is different again a more throaty growl, and the 350 more subtle than an a Z32, but a deeper note. Love it when one of my other club mates cruise past, especially with the boot in.

Most sports cars/coupes/reasonable sized engined cars have their own very distinctive note though. Subaru's, Porsche, Ferrari, Skyline, Evo, Jag's, I'll add Holden Commodore's into that (don't know what you call them in the US) & Ford Falcon. Easy to pick a mile off.
