So... you are "for real" and actually drive this way? Geez... Say again: Hopefully it is on the track and not on public streets.

There is no "misunderstood here." The "turning technique" you describe is not wise since it wears your rear (and expensive) tires quickly, and will eventually result in disaster (a wreck). Throw a little bit of sand or oil/water slick into the mix, and your suggested turning scenario quickly degenerates into an uncontrolled rotation (spinout)

Quit doing that!

I will now predict neeferea's future.....

... I see lots of bashing for his irresponsible driving habit

... I see a thread titled "I wrecked my Z today".

... I see more bashing in the "I told you so" vein.

... I see this thread getting closed.

man, you guys are harsh! slipping the back end out a little in a 15 mph turn does not warrant comments about your "daddys car" or mentoning F&F. lighten up

"Drifting into the turn" when inexperienced and on city streets is unwise, no? I fully support messing around with the car in a parking lot or on the track.

WRONG. If we said "YEAH! KEEP DOING IT, AWESOME." and he crashed and died, it would be partly our faults.

However, if we belittle him and make him feel bad about himself for doing it *on the public streets*, perhaps we can save his life, or, even better, save the life of his Z. *loves Zs*

Probably best to close the thread now... before all of the rest of your predictions become true... and they probably will. I bet that neeferea gets it now, and there's no point allowing more disparaging remarks.

I say "lock it."

This is on a track right?

The car is fastest when the tires are rolling. With either under or over steering, one end of the car is going the wrong way.

Your testing the limits sound reasonable, but I suggest that you choose the right place. Show your mad skills at autocross.

IF this is not on the track then drifting is not only a hazard to you but to other people. Let alone a wreckless driving ticket. Just makes sense not to do it. Keep it on the track, and don't over correct or under correct and kill someone.

honestly, think about it.... you claim your not drifting... youre taking turns really hard, dont u think its common sense that YOU ARE wearing your tires more than normal????
I hope ur not one of those morans that beat the crap out of their Z's and end up wrapping it around a pole...

Ok, we all took our shots but all B.S. aside be careful, its not worth ruining a good car for a cheap thrill we are all guilty of.

If you are interested in some auto-x in the chicago area shoot me a PM. Its a ton of fun, I personally prefer the race track. This is a vid of Road America in Wisconsin

HAHAHAHA! If you have to ask how bad burning the hell out of your tires on a regular basis is for them...then...uh...I don't know what else to say here. I am at a loss for words

Well you see, most Z drivers make a decent sum of money. Assume that in order to earn said money you need to be decently intelligent. If mommy and daddy buy your car, well......you do the math.

Tires are meant to roll forward, not slide. Here is an experiment. Next time you visit a playground, try sliding down the slide sitting sideways. See how uncomfortable it feels. That is how your tires feel every time you "drift" into a turn at 15mph.

The questions people ask are a little odd. If you want to power slide in turns, take it to the track. Or better yet, get a beater and take it to the track.

Don't blame us when you "drift" into a 47 year old in a brand new S class that has a lot of pent up frustration and an expensive lawyer.

Cheers!
