**** on the sunroof
but i would say for all the body work and shaving the doors and having to repaint the majority of the car from shaving everything
an the number of miles on it, its not to reasonably out of price

Sunroof, reality check says $750 to $1000
Emblems? He swapped the front bumper, there goes that emblem, peel of the 350z emblem on rear, check, shave burger emblem.... $1500? not a chance in hell.
Shaved door handles, probably no more than $500. $3500? ha
What a tool....

I agree $45K would have been too much for this car off the lot. However, If it was a Touring Version @ $37K and it had aftermarket wheels on it say. Then if you were to add TTL it might hit $45K. Don't forget when this car first came out there were those that were willing to pay an extra $5K on a pre-order. So, I can see it. I wouldn't do it. However some did.
Now $24.9K for a built Touring Model with 19K mile on it isn't that bad in my opinion.
His shaved doors are a grand a peice around here. $2000 maybe not $3000 and then you have $1500 in paint if he does it in steps instead of doing the shaving, body work, front bumper all at the same time.
I don't like the sunroof idea. But, strength wise should be fine. I had a couple of aftermarket ones installed and they were better than the factory ones. They actually added strength to the roof, thicker framed metal and all. No squeaks rattles or distortions over 12 years of abuse on one of the cars.
I did go for good quality sunroof however around $500 installed. They are now about $750 not $4000.
However, once again I do know of some people paying $2800 plus install for electric ones with shades.
I always went with the manual tilt up and take off models.
I think it's a good deal at about $22K and I think that's probably what he'd take.
I like my Z the way I like my women however, unshaved just trimmed a bit. ;-0
Notice the shaved emblems on the side and rear of the car another $1000 at least around here
