VIN Soup - By Scafremon
First, you put in packet numbers. Stir these over a warm flame. Lick the ladle, and you'll find the mixture is as expected - fairly consistent, not too many surprises.
Then, rapidly add order numbers, while turning up the heat! Just as the mixture reaches boiling, turn off the flame. The mixture is uneven at this point. You can try a taste, but you may get burned.
Finally, you add the VIN. Ahhhh, the glorious VIN!
But while adding the VIN, don't forget to sprinkle in some more order numbers.
And when you have added all your order numbers.....and you have added all your VIN....the soup is ready to be enjoyed.

Just to fill out the rest of the info on my Z. It is a touring model, Brickyard color. No new info on order number.
Thanks for keeping up this database. It is a bit less frustrating knowing that some people are getting their rides soon.

Got my VIN!
My dealer called to tell me he had a VIN and delivery date! Scaf, please add this info to my record on your list:

Great job on the spreadsheet. Don't know what FIRM conclusions
we can draw from all of this but i'ts great onfo nontheless.here are my nubmers so you can fill in the blanks.

But.....
30 days from now....when everyone else has their cars, or at minimum the cherished VIN's..... and my data shows me as the only one lacking info.....

Hopefully they don't know your real name... or it could be a loooong wait for you. Speaking of which, have you done anything else to **** off those fine people at NNA who we all love and respect?

Went to my dealer today, GM showed me a print out. They have VIN's and sept 3rd delivery for 2 of their cars(not mine). They also had a tentave delivery of September for 4 other cars(1 was mine) but with no specific date. I was so happy (I was starting to think I would get mine in Oct or Nov) that I forgot to look at the order number.

Purchased from Razzari Nissan in Merced, California at MSRP,
$1000 down- refundable.
I have contacted the GM 4 times in the past month, asking him for any info such as Order #, VIN #, Delivery date etc....but he has not provided any info. Salesman I originally purchased the car from stated he thought my car would be delivered around the mid of September. He has since left the dealership.

Another change on delivery date, not October but November.

Well in all the excitment of finding out when I was getting my car I didn't write anything down but here's the information.
Ordered: 17 May 02
Confirmation Packet Recieved: @12 June 02
Order #: W5185** (I'm 80% sure I saw a W and I remember 5185)
Est. Delivery Date: Nov 02
