I don't know if anybody has said this or not but you get a portion of you bonus at first, (I think 10k minus taxes) and then you get a portion as you complete every year of your contract.

it might be lump sum now. i know both of my reup bonuses were paid in full. 10 grand, then my second one was 25 grand. they do tax the crap out of you however.

That's (from my knowledge) only for re-up. The enlistment bonus is paid (I'm no recruiter, so I might be wrong) half up front and the rest over the course of either your first term of first year. Out of that $15k, he shouldn't expect to see more than $10k (prolly more like $9k).

Just because you are "fighting" does not mean you are fighting for my freedom. The Iraq War is an illegal war. If you think the Iraq War is justifiable, well then when Iraq invaded Kuwait is just as justifiable. And what happened then? Oh yea, the whole world kicked them out. The fact that there has not been a terrorist attack since we went to war in the middle east is not proof that my freedoms have been protected because of our actions. I could just as easily claim that we have not been attacked simply because there are Middle Eastern countries that we have not yet invaded.

The 9/11 attack took years of preparation and planning to commit. More then the five years that we have been over there. It was also accomplished using civilian aircraft. No military weapons whatsoever. How easy do you think this would be to duplicate?

But I'm pretty sure your the guy who also believes we took out our own towers in 9/11 and that we never landed on the moon, all a big conspiracy and hoax right? I think blindly "supporting" the troops without understanding the politics of why they are there is much less caring.
