Just a little rant, but it really gets to me when people talk about tire tread and spell it thread - Tires are not stitched or woven together! It is TREAD and NOT THREAD.

Same goes for "Break" and "Brake"

 

Doesn't woving [to weave] count as a form of stitching ? Lol

Also "there" and "their", "your" and "you're"...+1 on "brake" and "break"...there are differences ya know!

 

and also when people say Bumber instead of Bumper

 

Also it's a "Z" not a "Zed"...but I'll leave that one alone for now haha

But shouldn't it still be spelled/written as just a plain Z although it is pronounced Zed?

Good thread. I just seached for my old posts on the forum. I am guilty of doing this. Never new there was a difference. Good thing this wasn't on my SAT test.

Thank you for this thread. I am somewhat of a grammar ***** and I really can't stand the twototootherethey'retheirbreakbrakethenthan etc crap. For me it is difficult to write or type a word without thinking about the meaning of that word, so I couldn't really write "it's to hot outside" because in that instance "to" doesn't make any sense.

 

Don't forget the all to common "lose" vs "loose". I hate when somebody "looses" a race to that damn RSX.
