How much should i expect to pay for one if i am to buy it now (July 31) after preorders.... and also... what is the average backorder time?

As for the when....the most common answer I hear is Jan timeframe for ordering and getting exactly the combination you want at the best price. Maybe more like Nov, Dec for a little extra cost and not getting to pick all your own options or combinations.

If you're serious, you might be able to get one still in the first allocation. There are many people on this board looking to sell their position in line due to unforseen circumstances. You might pay a couple bucks more, but you'll end up doing that anyway.
The difference being you'll get it really soon assuming you find someone with a color/trim level you agree with. Might want to check the classified area of the forum.

Considering some of us have been waiting since January of this year, if not longer, it's not that bad. Keep in mind, if Nissan sticks to their schedule the preorder deliveries won't end until November. That leaves one month until January. And I am sure that there are a lot of dealers that are already taking names for lists for the general release. Those orders will be filled before yours. thus pushing it out further. You may be able to find a small dealer that doesn't have high demand in his area that can get you one sooner.
