When was it stolen?? Was just browsing through a local forum, and found this... is this one yours?? (although, it would be kinda hard to tell from the pictures lol)

This is in the desert off of college and mission in henderson
To me personally, everything is intact on the car... just looks like insurance fraud for someone who doesnt want to make the payments anymore...

Shaved door handles should take care of that!!!!!

with the interior removed, it seems to me they thought you had lojack and tried to find it? or tried to find the alarm?
when they couldnt find it they ditched the car in order to minimize the chances of getting caught.

@OP: Does the car starts at all, is there any signs of electrical damage? If no buy it from the insurance co after they salvage it. This is a good base for a nicelly modded car for cheap, just weld in a rollcage
Actually it is a simple as switching the ECUs, I am not sure with the 350Z though because I didn't test it or do not know anyone who did. What you need is just to pop up the hood, switch the ECU with your own one and you are ready to go.
I've seen some thieves' ECUs in Europe and they are heavly modded by some skilled electronics guys, these ECUs have the immobilizer taken care of, the ignition is not done by a key it is done by a remote (since the immobilizer is not working), sometimes the ECUs have some tweaked out fuel maps (especially for turbodiesels) to give the thieves some serious power for the gateway
BTW: LoJack could be jammed as well as the pagers, there are several GPS/GSM systems working in Europe, and all of them could be easly down using a simple rf jammer.

Put rollers(dont know what they're called) under all 4 wheels, raise/jack the car off the ground, and flatbed it.

lojack is worthless in SD
My girl wanted to be a cop so she always went on ride alongs. When she crested the hill overlooking Tijuana the LoJack sensor starts going NUTS. She is like, what is that, the cop said, thats LoJack telling us there are tons of stolen cars straight ahead. She asked what he can do about it, not a damn thing.
It takes about 30 minutes for a thief to drive your car out of the country down here, better off with top of the line insurance than lo jack.
OnStar will now disable your car if its stolen, Lo Jack should offer that as an option.
For the USC folks, you gotta be kidding, USC is surrounded by a ghetto, when I went there to watch a basketball game I couldn't believe how many hustlers were trying to sell fake tickets, merchandise, drugs etc. Don't drive your Z to that school parking lot!

Anyone have any suggestions on preventing this? I have a KARR aftermarket alarm included when the dealer sold it. I use the club, but other than that.....

My car got stolen and now the clutch engages about a half-inch higher than it did before. I hate to think about what those jackholes were doing to my baby!
Good luck getting a new car.

damn reading all this makes me want to look into an aftermarket alarm.....although when i lived at home my dads civic got broken into with a clifford alarm but they didnt get anything due to the alarm, they just had time to slash wires and **** up the stereo system..
garage ftw, i refuse to live anywhere w/o a garage, but i cant always park there...time to shop for an alarm system me thinks....

Try having over $12K of mods stolen.
I'm not going to be too specific in case the dudes who stole my parts reads these forums. Basically, my driver side door handle was popped and the raping started there. Z was sitting on blocks, rims + tires, shift ***, DVD & navi, exhaust, strut bar, CF hood, rear lights, grounding kit, speakers + tweeters + sub + amp +, and misc personal items.
Don't trust wheel locks cuz they don't work. Shaved door handles were temping, but once the battery in the key fob goes (unless replaceable), you'll have to break your window to get in. I should have installed a GPS tracking device $2XX from ebay and install it in my amp.
Insurance only covered approx half the stuff the rest was over the claim limit so I was SOL.

Looks like they had a couple buyers that were missing or needed those parts. They obviously had a shoping list. Could be a car their building or several buyers needing these personal parts. Good thing the engine and transmisson were not damage or touched.
I've heard of thefts getting your VIN# and ordering a key or getting one made and there off to the races!! I got 12 gauge and German Sheperd security at home. Away I'm a sitting duck. I thought we had the satillite shutoff after being started without the proper key, it shuts off within 3 blocks.

You are 100% right. Appartently this is common enough that I have seen two news articles on it in the last 2 years. In every case the dealer should check your identity, etc. but not all do. And even if it is not made with the proper chip they still have a key to open your door right up. Take something like tape or some foam that matches the color of your dash and put it between the dash and windshield to block outside view of your VIN.
One of our local news casters took another persons VIN from a co-worker at the news station and went down to the local dealer. Without any questions they made her a key but didn't provide her with a coded key. That part seemed like just a mistake or misunderstanding from the story. So if it would have been legit they weren't even competent enough to make her a proper key on top of everything! It was good enough to open the car and turn on the ignition, the car just wouldn't start. She didn't even have to give some BS story that she locked her keys in the car and just needed a plain key to get in and get her real keys. Please help me. Please make an exception. Just here is my VIN, give me a key please.
