Wow, I cant believe so many ppl on here could get that upset about something so stupid...
Wonder how many people get discouraged to waste they're time to post just to get flamed to hell for dumb BS.
Its not just on this thread but I've seen this same sh*t on other threads. Is it just some ppl get they're rocks off by flaming people on the internet?

The OP cannot be taken seriously. For proof re: the kind of dirtbag he is, refer to the thread below, especially posts 29 and 36:

To kill this thread. Power between both cars should be pretty much equal. A simple power to weight calculation solves that much. Now I'm going to use estimates based on the official weight numbers from Nissan:
2003 Z:
Weight 3200lbs
Horsepower: 287HP
Power to Weight: 1 : 11.1
2007 Z:
Weight 3400lbs
Horsepower: 306HP
Power to Weight: 1 : 11.1
The only reason the 2007 Zs are faster are because of the 7700RPM redline, which allows the car to shift into a stronger powerband. The huge differences in power are probably exaggerated, imo. I'm not saying they aren't there, they just aren't as dramatic as some say.

If we use dyno numbers:
2003-2006 350Zs @ ~240WHP: 1 : 13.3
2007-2008 350Z @ ~265HP: 1 : 12.8
This shows a clearer picture that indeed there is a power difference. And in fact, if you adjust the HP of the 2003 Zs to 275HP (the number which all of the Infinitis were re-rated to), you end up with the same .5 discrepancy in the crank-HP measurements, as the WHP.

none of what you are saying is true- the weghit differance isn't that big, the redline is 7500.
"Some 80 percent of the VQ35HR engine is new. Twin throttle bodies, a higher compression ratio and straighter intake ports help squeeze out more power, while variable valve timing for the intake and exhaust cams broadens the power band. To help the engine withstand the higher 7,500-rpm redline, the crankshaft's pins and journals are larger in diameter and the crankshaft's main bearing carrier is supported by a ladder-type frame. Meanwhile, the connecting rods are 8.4mm longer to help reduce vibration, a measure that required a revised engine block with a taller deck height.
When the new high-revving, 3.5-liter VQ35HR V6 is hooked up to the Nismo 350Z's six-speed manual transmission, it delivers 306 horsepower at 6,800 rpm. The torque output is 268 pound-feet at 4,800 rpm, but, more important, 90 percent of peak torque is available between 2,000 rpm and 7,000 rpm."

I really don't know what's up with some people here. He gave his opinion. I thought it was actually useful since I've never been in an 04, plus he made a point about clarkson's whining about the crappy interior which he agreed on. Why do you guys hate? you sound like a bunch of 13 year olds... 03, 04, 07 it doesn't matter.. they're all 350z and we all love the car.
