I bought an o7 my self and never drove an 04, so i went to the local dealership and wanted to see the difference for my self,

First thing I noticed was the CLUTCH... I mean damn you guys must all be olympic runners because that clutch is stiff, I can't imagine ridin that thing in traffic all day, I'd sell my car..

Second thing interior... Man that center console storage compartment is designed so cheap, I moved it side to side it was loose and made riduclous sounds, I completely agree with Jermemy Clarksons review on it, all make sense now, Plus the side panels on the door, and that loose ashtray in the middle.

Thrid was the motor, it had no where near the pull of an 07, I mean I felt really bored redlining my gears compared to the 07.


Overal the difference is Huge, I mean really there is really big differance between the previous year.

I don't mean to bash down the 04, I'm just stating my opy, I'd say the same If i owned an 04 and test drove an 07

eh, i'll take the lightweight of my 04 vs. the extra hp. My car weighs in at 3100lbs with the spare. Also, I like the interior, and like the stiffer clutch. I drove the 07, and still like my 04. thx tho.

Cars will always have more power and bells and whistles with each year. You will never be happy if you always compare to the newer models.

 

I would hope they have made some improvements over the course of 5 years. If I were choosing between a lightly used 06 or a new 07 then the new features would probably be enough to sway me. I certainly won't be trading in a paid off 04 for a 07 though.

 

That's what I hate. When a car is introduced, it is generally more "pure". But they keep adding **** to make the complainers happy. Adding means extra weight, and extra problems. I generally prefer the second year for most cars. A year to iron out the quirks, but not old enough to have a lot of waste added.

 

Meh. I'll take my 04 that is halfway paid off over an 07. Besides, if I want more kick I'll just add another mod or two.

How does your car weigh 3100 lbs did you take everything out of it. The 07 wieghs 33XX and so does the 04. There is about a 30 HP difference between the motors though so the 07 is much faster than the 04. I mean there are fans of each year and all but come on now who are you kidding?

 

I've enjoyed my 03 for almost 5 years while you were driving your civic, riding your bike, or taking the bus. BTW it's paid off too

 

no shlt they do, but all get a brand new revised motor and tranny, and clutch, you numbnutz, they usually do that after a body change. Look don't get your panties wet because I like 07 better than the 04. You just a little hurt muahahah poor baby

I wouldn't say so much I have my reason, The M3 was a lemon, I ordered it white/red 06 model it got bought back, Couldn't order one anymore, Supra TT. Was just a pain to own, to much paranoia, CLK500 Garbage tank gas guzzler, but the ladies loved it. s2k was totalled, and G35 was sold. Even after all those cars I'm really happy with the 07 Z
