True. It's always a pissing match between the new cars vs older ones, Honda vs Nissan, etc. Why bring it up. I agree - it's a fact the '07 is faster, so what?
How booooring.
Take your car to the track and drive it as hard as you can - you're more than likely not even close to utilizing a fraction of what the Z is capable of...
All people do is argue about who's faster and then all they do is pose their freshly waxed cars they've spent thousands of useless mod $'s on for the rest of the universe to look at. Shut up and drive.
Damn.

this thread is still going on...
how about we just drop it...about 5 pages ago someone proved the two cars had exactly the same power to weight ratio. even if they dont who cares, its a car deal with it.

I've experienced the Z for several years now and recently took an '07 out. I couldn't see that much of a noticeable difference. Yeah it "probably" pulled harder, but definately not something I'd rave about. It was smoother throughout the RPM band, but not like what I've been reading. It did start getting 'rough' once I hit 4.5K and took it higher...
It definately wouldn't be something I'd trade over for..again due to the minor differences. All in all, it's an opinion just like everyone elses..and I'm chiming mine in.
Cheers
Edit: I don't know what it means, but I did notice that at 40 mph the rev in 3rd was 2700RPMs on the '07 model. The previous models seem to rev at 3100-3200 RPM in 3rd at 40mph. I thought it was the same gear ratio...What do you 03-06 owners read as the RPM in 3rd at that speed?

Look where this thread went. Straight to where the others have.

The OP's pre-edited origianl post was inflammatory as a troll should be. It's now been edited to appear like he wasn't trying to instigate anything. Regardless however, my original statement stands. I'd like an 04 with an 07 engine.

yea, really sad. It is still a z. I like my 06 and F$@k those who are bragging about how we should all trade in our early models for an 07. No one really cares i dont think. If we wanted a 07 would have just traded for an 07. Someone should compare another car instead of just starting hell with our own cars.
