From the actually numbers I've seen it is not as much of a difference as you would think.

2-300 lbs isn't small. And name me one new car that's 3100lbs with 300hp and luggage capacity? I agree new cars are too heavy, but such is life.

A few of the guys i meet up with from around my area with Z's check my car out and ill go check theres out. Doesnt matter what year its all about checking what people have done to their cars and get ideas and info.Its the love of the car.I couldnt care less what year it is

It seems to be a lightweight too (3230 
), according to another guys recent post.I like my 04z and haven't driven an 07(yet), but right off, I know I would like the 7k+ redline! Especially with my 3.9FD setup. The only think I don't like, the cheezy slide lid on the compartment and the raised silver accent around the stick boot, not well integrated imho.
I've been waiting to rip into an 07 off the line, but haven't gotten the chance yet. It will happen, hopefully the guys a good driver

The engine alone answers that. I don't mod, but for those who do, you should know the value of the new layout.

the thread was prob started because all the non 07 owners keep saying the older ones pull harder because they are lighter. . . because they have nothing better to do apparently then to realize the truth.
