Just had the passenger side window motor replaced. Window would not roll up. Tires replaced at 30k. Hard time getting the gas cap open.

43k miles on mine.

-Had the axle clicking fixed twice.
-Throttle body changed early

No other issues despite a few thousand track miles.

Oh, and rear tires changed every 7-8,000 miles... hehe

Here is my experience...

2003 Performance model ...no performance mods ...30K miles

Problems Nissan fixed on my car:
-Tire feathering, fixed at 20K with alignment and new tires under warranty.
-Gas filler/hose recall fixed at 25k under recall
-Transmission replaced at 29K miles (grind going into 5th gear) under 5yr/60K drivetrain warranty

Problem I fixed:
-Rear hatch spring-lifts replaced at 20K (I did it myself in about a minute... part cost was $17)

Problems that are not fixed:
-Side bolsters on driver seat are worn and discolored.
-Rear hatch door drops (won't stay up) when outside temperature goes below 35 degrees F.

FYI when it first flashes "---" that means you have 3 gallons left.

Pretty damned sure.

As for the tire question, by 51,000 they were actually looking really good. One was cracked in a certain spot though, started leaking REAL slow over the course of weeks.

Take it to the dealer. There's TSB for it and they'll fix it for free.
I took it to the dealership and the guy wanted to charge me 150 bucks for service fee plus and add. 147 for the labor. I didnt do it cause i heard you can do it for free is this is for sure? Just want to be sure before I go back and talk to the manager.

Something like that.

I can barely put 15 gallons in mine if I fill up when the warning light comes ON. On a 20 gallon tank...

Does anybody know how long it takes to fix the rear axle clicking? Car has to be overnight at dealership?

OP... looks like you've been fairly fortunate with your Z

I rolled over 70k about 2 weeks ago. My only problem so far was the tranny grind, so it was replaced at 58k(lol). I've got a great dealership
I've driven the hell out of my Z, its been in two accidents (frontal) and I still LOVE her! I hope to keep this baby well beyond 150k.

ive probably experienced half to three quarters of the problems on that list. those are the more common ones.
I have the same problem. Any easy fix for this?

I posted a penny trick a while back to help pop up the trunk when you press the button. On another note my Z ran great for about 120k miles until I had to swap my motor for a 05 with 20k miles. I added FI so my original motor and the weak condition it was could not take the additional power. I got lucky and found a cd009 tranny and low mileage engine but everything else is the same including the diff which is still in great shape. I had the usual minor problems most had but overall satisfied with the Z so far.

I probably wouldnt buy an 03 again, but to Nissan's defense, all the above was covered 100% under warranty, not a dime spent here.

Like everything else, its nature to post and complain when you have problems, but when everything is going great and you are completely happy, you dont have the same overwhelming drive to make it known.

Here's my problems with my 03. Passenger side window motor went out at 2 weeks before end of factory warranty. Replaced under warranty. Then 1 week after the one year warranty on the new motor in the passenger side window the replacement motor went out. Called Nissan and they replaced it because of how close it was to when the warranty expired. That's it, . Guess I got a good one.

51k with the rear tires seems like a phenomenon to me. How did you do this?
