I have the same problem in my garage with dust & bugs. Got tired of constantly wiping it down so I bought a $20 car cover from Walmart. It works great . . . get the XS size. It fits the Z perfectly.

I'm sorta ****... 'course, I guess I'm only **** when need be.

Ex. two trucks parked next to me, one on each side ... one, so close that I couldn't get into my car without rolling the window down so I could squeeze my fat *** in there. Good God, there were like 50 open spots! Some people don't have any common sense I guess.

Someone riding with me kept slamming the door when he got in, so I told him "this car ain't a GM, it closes really easy" and then I proceded to close my door with my pinky to demonstrate. He gave me a funny look (He drives a new-ish model Impala ... non-SS )

I've washed my car once a week since I got it (tomorrow I wash it again, YAY!) ... each time I put another coat of Zaino. My neighbors give me strange looks and say "we'ren't you out here just the other night waxing??? o_O".

Oh well . I enjoy washing the car ... AND it's a replacement for watching TV or playing video games ... burn more calories so that the car will go faster cuz I'll weigh less

no matter how hard i try, no matter how many times i wash and wax ..... my SB always seems to get dirty, whether it be the bugs or an aerial assault from birds...
I cant win, either way washing and waxing is my way of relaxing.

i think im the only one who can spend an entire mid day/afternoon detailing my car....and not even washing it
i actually looked one day and i spent 4 hours cleaning the car and i didnt even wash it

does anyone else keep a duster a few rags and some spray detailer in the back?

I also don't let people lean on my car. Ever. Basically, just don't touch my car unless you're reaching for the door handle to go somewhere with me.
ha ha ha, same here man. my wife put a cup from taco bell on my roof and i went apepoop about it. she doesn't seem to care, but she is learning.

i am pretty **** about my car's cleanliness. being black it's even worse. after a rain, i usually go outside and wipe it down. wife thinks i am crazy but i've been like that with all my cars.

oh and i hate when people ride with me, i don't see what's so hard about getting in the car without kicking things!

clean cars FTW! bugs hitting the car after you wash and wax FTL.

I'd say I'm definitely very protective of my car.

I feel the same way about my car. Like my sig says its a Garage Queen and it is that for a reason.

I don't like anyone touching my car, parking close to my car, trying to ride with me, etc. etc. I NEVER drive the car when the road is wet even worse when it rains or with the road has sprinkler spots I drive around them. At worse if its one of those stream water runs on the road, I drive as slow as possible so it doesn't get under my fenders wet and pick up dirt/dust.

The list goes one, I bet 90% of the Z owners here are the same. I met some dude last week with a Z and his shi^ was dirty as hell...boy was I disgusted! The car is a 350z, it stands out on the road like a florescent light bulb in a dark room, turns heads and is an attention grabber. Your Z better be clean yo! Represent =]

I really don't have OCD with this car since Im the only one who rides in it. I probably will start getting into that phase once I decide to get rims, because then I will have to clean them at least once a week. Silver is probably the easiest color to maintain as well.

holy crap, everything you said was EXACTLY me.

I was at Tim Hortons (or Dunkin Donuts in the states or whatever) and I bought this iced capiccino for my girlfriend...and usually they drip water when they start to melt so I asked for a grocery bag..and wrapped it around the cup..and made my girlfriend drink with the plastic bag around it while in the car. Needless to say, she doesn't like going to fast food with me anymore.

and just today I was parked in this HUGE parking lot..it was also VERY empty....3-4 cars decide to park next to mine. Of course the ******* V-dub on the left of my car just HAS to make it so he's on the line..making it impossible for me to get in.

I'm gonna go clean my car again tomorrow morning

Well it's called Zed or Zee Obsessive Compulsive Cleaning Disorder.

Hmm, things that area little bit different, vacuuming the engine bay before detailing, to make sure there is no dust or muck. Vacuuming absolutely everywhere in the car, including the storage compartments, removing the spare wheel and vacuuming and wax. Plus many different approaches to keeping a car show groomed all the time. Well known for it. Scary.

I'm also with you guys on the OCD thing. I clean everywhere, even the underside.

I love the look of a clean black car, but I would wash it every day rather than 2x a week with my silverstone. Don't regret that choice.
