Test drove an '07 Touring coupe yesterday...
... and to my disbelief i was not THAT impressed. I was not blown away. I mean dont get me wrong the car is fast, sounds great, drives great, and looks gorgeous in white, BUT i did not get that kick off the line like i was expecting. I hate to say it but the 03 enthst that i drove about 2 weeks ago seemed much quicker and more powerful. The power delivery seemed kinda weird and laggy...
My question is, the car had only 20 miles on it, so im sure that played a part, in that the engine has not been "broken in" yet. Can i expect a significant change with "off the line" power when the engine is at about 3k miles("broken in")? I want to feel that TORQUE!!!

I would really love to know where people come up with these theories sometimes.
It might get a little faster once broken in, but not enuff that you will feel. Your ECU is not going to compensate really much at all if even at all to your driving style. That is a myth. Unless an engineer who has decoded the Nissan software or Nissan themselves tell me otherwise, people are just talking out their holes.
Honestly, yes they are pretty fast, but they shouldnt throw you in your seat fast. nor should a pre 07. Its only a 230-270whp car in the 3k lb range. What do you expect?
IMO the ease it takes to get up to speeds and the pure bliss on a spiritied drive in the twisties impressed me.
Now I gotta go drive an 03 apparently to see what Im missing. lol
