New 08s are out

I think Nissan is waiting until '11 for the 370z, kinda like beta testing with the G37. An I guess they are gonna make a 350z hybrid and keep the GT-R as the sports performance staple in the Nissan Franchise. Heres the link, its source from motortrend. http://www.egmcartech.com/2007/08/03...epower-engine/

Im about 99% certain that the new g37 engine will not be placed into a 350z body as of yet. This is due to the fact that nissan JUST spent a ton of money setting up two factories to start producing VQ35HR and VQHR25 engines if you read the company presentation for this year's productions. The g37 is supposed to compare with around 43-50k BMW's while the 350z was supposed to compete in the 30-37 market. (excuse a few thousand up or down). With the GT-R coming out soon enough they would rather have the performance levels go 350, g37, then GT-R. It wouldn't make sense for nissan to retool their factories and improve on a car when their high end is coming out.

2008 is legit.
If a manufacturer doesn't make any changes then they release early. If anyone is familiar with motorcycles it works the same way. If it's a completely new design, it doesnt get released until after first quarter. But if its a continuing model it'll get released 2 quarters ahead of the year.
