I just got a 07 nismo Z.. and I noticed my car also makes a whistling noise at 80 mph and above.. I am not sure what it is.. it is slightly annoying.. but I don't think that is anything harmful..

if its what i think your taking about it goes away as soon as you give it more gas or completely let off the gas. I have that same noise and it does it when you are still kind of on the gas, i'm pretty sure it happens from the diff not having any sort of load on it, neither acceleration or decceleration but everything moving in perfect synchronization. i think that because it seems like the noise comes more from the rear of the car.

Yeah, it comes from the right side kind of low... And goes away under acceleration or off gas completely, slight on gas the noise stays...
