DAMN YOU ALLSTAR 40...DAMN YOU!! lol you skipped school to wash your car? Are you a bloody fool? haha man the weather here in Houston sucks, its been pouring down rain all week. Hopefully the weekend is better becuz i have to attend a bachelor party. I'll get the windshield repaired when I get back from that, and at the same time I'll get my windows tinted.

Anyways, after I got out of class and got into my car, I noticed a crack on my front windshield from the bottom middle going halfway up I was so upset because my car is flawless and this was the firs time I ever drove it to my college (University of Houston - Downtown). I usually take my civic but I'm having some window problems with it and didn't want a chance of rain getting inside of it. Anyways I called a few places and got quoted between $225 - $300 to replace the windshield with a new one. Is that to much or can anyone recommend a better place to get it fixed? I don't want my insurance to pay for it since its only a couple of hundred, I can easily pay for it...but I just wanna make sure I'm not getting screwed. Oh and I forgot my dress shoes for work and I was wearing sneakers...now I'm stuck wearing canary yellow scrubs My week started out pretty ****ty.

If the class was spelling, then you shouldn't have skipped!
Just kidding - just giving you s**t bro.

If anyone doing a search is interested, I just got a quote for $265 for windshield replacement on my 06 Z. Add another $15 if it needs new molding. (Venerable Glass, Jackson, MS).

depends on the insurance company, but glass coverage doesn't require a deductable.. better call and double check before you dish outyour own cash.. got a windsheild replaced on my integra not too long ago.. they came to my house and charged 250.. i coudlnt' find it any cheaper than that.

Somehow, I'm thinkin', after 2½ years, the OP would have replaced or fixed his windshield.

if you lower your comprehensive deductible to $50, it will barely raise your monthly payment at all. Then you can get new windshields all day long for $50.

There have been a good number of old school thread bumps lately. Does nobody look at dates anymore?

Call Safelite, they're the national auto glass replacement company. Ive worked for them & they're the only ones I'd trust with my Z (or even my beater). I used to work for Safelite.
