Has anyone purposely left there Z stock?
Well, once had a nice stock car but I just had to add an Edelbrock high rise manifold, Crane cam, Holly 850 four barrell, solid lifters, traction bars, 4:55 rear end, Keystone Mags, Hurst shifter, 8 track with reverb, etc. The car was a rocket.
Sold it after a couple years to go to college for $1000.
I've wished countless times I had that car back. IN STOCK CONDITION!!!!
What was it you say?
'67 Mustang...289 four barrell, 4 speed. Now worth big bucks IF FOUND STOCK!!
So I'm not ****ing with my Z. If I want PURE power and a different feel I'll go drive my buddies Viper!

My Z is still bone stock after 4 years and 16,800 miles. I plan to keep it that way.
It’s always been in a climate controlled dark garage, never been in snow, and rarely has it been rained on. During the winter months I usually only drive it about once or twice a month, in sunny weather.
Believe it or not it still has a little ‘new car’ smell.
I plan on keeping this Z for another 20 years, at least.

Twenty years from now, when all you guys with mods have long since sold your Zs and are looking back fondly on the days when you owned a 350Z look me up. I’ll have a mint, low-mileage, non-restored, bone-stock, first year 350Z for sale. And I will sell it to you. But bring extra cash because I won’t be selling it cheap.
BTW: try finding a mint, low-mileage, bone-stock, non-restored, 1970 240Z for sale. You’ll see what I’m talking about.
2007 5100miles, STOCK and staying that way. But I am 32 years old and not into the kiddie toy mods. Sorry. All your intakes, plenum spacers, pop charges ect... are for a younger group. Not guys that are married w/kids in there 30s. Just my .02
Its funny when I see someone on here saying how they just added an intake, pop charger and what not... I ask why? more speed ? More HP ? for what ? So you can go 0-60 in 5.0 sec instead of 5.1 LMAO. So you can brag to others that your car is now 350 HP instead of 306? Most people could care less, and the ones who do care are probably just as insecure. LMAO no offense to the guys that actually mod there care to track it. Thats a different story.

I see where you are coming from but keeping my car nice for the next owner seems like a waste of time and I would rather my memories be of me driving my car the way I like it. I only plan on living once and I have no idea when that end will come, I dont want any regrets.

A K&N Drop-in is comparable to changing to a different oil filter. SS brake lines are a bit of a step, but a small one at that.
Your analogy is akin to saying that one's Z isn't stock after switching to synthetic oil!
Mine technically isn't anymore. It's got new Michelin rubber, already. I just bought a set of Dunlop M3s. I'm getting a Motordyne Spacer next month. Getting clear-bra done.
Probably won't touch anything else on the car.

Stock except for Hawk brake pads (I needed new pads, so am I still stock?) and a pop charger (I consider this still stock as well, it's just an air filter). Oh, and to mcurry 5... the pop charger wasn't to gain that impressive 6 hp they claim, it is for the sound. She sounds great when I open her up.
I PLAN to only keep the exterior body stock.. my last car was stolen and probably because it was true jdm an attracted a lot of attention.. so outside stock an the suspension and engine =) imma go all out. Not exactly a sleeper but in a way.. ( dont know who im kiddin im sure i will slap some Volks or HRE's on it after break in.. i just bought it.)

60 Miles still Stock
