Default fuel

u should use what is recommended. there is method to the madness of high octane fuel.

it all has to do with compression and properly timed combustion in your cylinders. however, they are your cylinders...and if they are worthless to you...then save a couple bucks. why did you spend all that money for the car to begin with. if you wanna buy 87...why didnt you buy a pontiac wave.

put the exepensive **** in...trust me. and if you are a master chemist..and have an aptitude to read instrctions and make mixtures...go to a auto parts store..buy some octane booster...and add to your 87 in measured quantities as per the label of the product you buy.

....or buy premium...and add octane booster anyways...weld on some aluminum wings...and see if you can go to the moon.

I am not a teen though I see what you are saying. It is feasable for teens to steal gas, but where can they siphon C & H brown sugar from?????

A fine point you offer & I agree completely with you

Just seems like they stretch every penny they have just to make the car payments and then wind up cutting corners on things like gas, oil changes, insurance, and the worst... MODS spraypainted stock rims, huge Aluminum wings, LEDs on every surface...

Just like you need to fill the tank in your Z, gas stations need to fill their underground tanks. Timing is everything in this business. Tanker trucks deliver the fuel on a tight and calculated schedule, and the idea is to empty the load into an available underground tank. If the underground tank is topped-off, and the tanker truck still has some fuel, guess where that goes. Hint… it doesn’t go down the sewer. In fact it gets mixed into any available tank.

Gosh… I wonder… marketing? If you think you’re burning 93 all the time, I have some other things I would like to sell to you.

Good thing that the Z’s ECU manages just about any octane rated fuel you put into the car.

91-93 Octane. Been using it for my past 3 cars every fill up since they were all modded with an ecu tune. Im still spending the same amount of money on gas regardless. I don't see why you can't afford another $2 or less on every fill up going with the higher octane. Its seems like the Z owns you.

93 Octane Sams. I have been useing Sams since my car was new. It seems fine. Back in the 70's when my dad was a gas tanker driver, I heard the story about going to a name brand gas station, filling up their tanks and then he would go across the street and to another brand name store and put the same gas in the tanks. I am sure there is some difference, but I wonder how many of these stations use the exact same gas?

350z tank=20 gal.

premium gas= $.20 more than regular per gallon.

total= $4.00 at max more than you would spend for regular

if you can't afford $4 extra for what's best for the engine, then you don't need a Z.

I usually just put gasoline in my car. Seems to be the most reliable form of fuel over kerosene, methanol, or diesel. When I put vegetable oil or seawater in my gas tank my Z doesnt run as well.

The most expensive stuff I can find at the pump is what goes in my car.
