****, I've woulda beat an evo last nite if he wasn't bein lil *****....... I've beatin sti's on the free way too..... the z can hold its own.... u have to know how to drive it and where to switch..
-.- come on guys be nice just a 16 year old whose a little misguided.
The Z can go with all the cars that you have listed about OP but it does have a lot to do w/ the driver. I have a 5A/T 06 350z with JWT intake and Blitz Nur Spec Exhaust and I can hang with all the cars that you have listed about and beat them.
I suggest before you buy your car you test drive all of them and decide for yourself.

BS dude. The only 350z capable of beating the newer WRX's (06+) is the 07 350z (given equal drivers). The WRX is capable of hitting 13.7 with a good driver. Thats more than capable of hanging with if not beating stock 03-06's. And yes from a roll the Z might win but it won't exactly blow it away, it'll slowly walk it. The STI will also hang with or beat an 03-06 350z from a roll and beat it in a drag. Lets face it, the only 350z that is actually worth braging about when it comes to comparing it to the cars mentioned by the OP is the 07 350z. The 07 350z is hands down the superior car but when you are talking 03-06 those cars are all about equal (except maybe in the turns when in the hands of good drivers)

my buddie has a 2007 STI he said it tops out at 145 or 155 with the governer.
i got my Z up to 159, which is also governed
your basic wrx doesn't have a chance. the AWD system gets them off the line but it slows them down in the end.

Here is what happens when they don't...
(Stock 05' Z vs two different STI's and two different drivers. The STI's start at 1:04)

Not to be left out...last week I had a friendly encounter with a modded WRX wagon. From a 60mph roll...I hesitated a bit...he got 3 cars length on me...after about 100mph...I was half a car length behind. I wanted to see if a modded WRX was fast, it was fast. Modded WRX's can be fast but I am pretty happy that my Z with a POP charger can hang.
'07 Z vs. (stock vs. stock)
STi-same 1/4 mile times. Z has better top end, and looks much better.
Rustangs-will hang with all of them at low end and will leave them after 70-100mph.
G35-G35s are slower than the '03-06 Zs.
so, overall, the Z shouldn't be in these other cars' class. it should be above them with M3s, Caymans, Z4 Ms, and Boxsters.

yea thats how my friend pulled a 13.2 stock in his 07 limited. but thats what it takes to launch good in those cars if you dont launch it really hard they basically die
Got to say you guys are pretty hard on the kid. He comes here to ask a question, and at 16, of course his questions may not be phrased perfectly, or spelled correctly, and you guys end up being a$$holes.
Must be some superiority complex that Z owners get, thank god not all of them get it.
If you can afford a Z, get one. They are awesome cars, and it isn't all about who you can beat, but how good you look when you are doing it.

Yeah, it's really bad how members just start attacking someone about to buy a Z, even if his parents are putting down the money for it or not.
He's buying it, and you're not going to change anything about it. The only thing you can change by posting a bunch of smart *** comments is making the forums have 1 less active member.
The interweb is serious business!

Just a thought. - What are you going to do about insurance when you have to insure it yourself? It sounds like your young so the insurance may be more than the car payment once out on your own. You might want to think ahead a bit. The insurance is the main reason I didn't buy my first Z until I was 25 and married. It kills the fun factor. Just thought you might want to think that part over a bit. I guess you could just sell the car at the point though. I wouldn't be able to stand that. I love my Z's so much once I got one no one would dare take it away from me. Except of course to get the next new Z.
2 seat sports cars have always been high to insure for the younger set.
Good luck I hope to read that this won't be a problem for you.
Get your Z now !!! You'll never regret it if you can afford it.

Great, yet another 16 yr old getting a Z
, heres the downside of newer Z's being released, the older yrs are getting cheaper. I see alot more articles of Z's being wrapped around trees.

Ok look
sti= 0-60 in 4.5 z is what 5.6 over a second faster
sti= 1/4 mile 13.0 z is what 13.6-13.8 if your lucky.
My stock sti outruns stock 07s and every bolt on revup and non revup. Learn you **** guys. Besides with a tbe my sti will gain what like 20awhp without a tune, and 30ish with a tune. And I will be able to severly out handle a stock z no matter what the conditions. I can do it all rain snow and dry. For the around 30k mark you cant beat the sti except in looks by the z.
