i actually like all the cars mentioned and test drove all of them except the mustang. i was not interested in domestic. the z is the best bang for the buck, and is extremely sexy. i have been to some shows where there were porche owners and they gave ME compliments. i drove the boxster (not S) and i was not impressed. the STI is pretty nice, it feels great. the only other car i seriously considered was the R32. But . . I have always loved Z cars they are just beautiful, you cant go wrong .. well except the driver side window motor. . . dont worry too much about what will beat what. get what is going to make you happy. my 2 cents.

You really should know what you are talking about. The only way an elise is pulling a 14.8 is if the track is at 6k+ DA or the driver is really crappy.

It is a purpose built track car. It is quick and very agile. The Exige is a good notch above.
BTW, that info was from the recent Sport Compact Car, where they compare the MR2 and elise, and the MR2 was faster in the 1/4. the elise actually pulled a 14.17.

I'm sorry, but at a decent track with a decent driver, the Elise is a low 13 second car and it isn't even a 1/4 mile car. Where is truly shines is on a road course.

One only has to look at its SCCA rating to see what class a car it is.

And your last statement sums it up. You say the Z is only better in looks. 05 Now lets apply your thinking to a girlfriend. You can have one that wins the 100 meter race every time. Beats my girlfriend by a little bit each race. But later that night, it's the prom. My girlfriend, smokin hot! Sexy shimmery dress, high heels, sexy legs, revealing top. Every guy in the place wants her and I can tell when I walk in with her on my arm. I'm proud.
Now your girlfriend, well she puts on her best track suit. Puts on a muscle shirt because it shows off her awesome pecs. She forgets to shave her legs, and her armpits. Looks good with the high tops she wears. She isn't on your arm, you are on hers. Everyone looks when you walk in and goes "hey, isn't that the fast girl.....boy does she look like a man. Who is the loser with her?"

Are you that stupid that you would slam Z's in a 350Z forum?

I think the WRX is a fast car, but when I'm sitting in something, looks count. If I were in a rally race, or the Paris Dakkar, yup, picking your car. On the street, where my Z gets looks all the time....nope.
Dayum .....

Too bad I didn't get a chance to respond earlier, just saw his message when I was cruising this thread and got ticked off. Had to respond. I honestly did look at WRX's, Corvettes, and even the RX8 and Mitsubishi vehicles. At the end of the day, nothing looked as good, nor felt as good to sit in. I was going for looks and performance, not just performance. Otherwise, I hear those Rail cars are pretty fast.

As the price of Z's drops, so does the average age. People shout V-TEKKK here to make fun of riced out Honda owners. I only hope they aren't doing the same a few years from now when referencing 350Z owners.

Good statement HDPD350Z. Each to their own on how they like their cars, but extreme I don't find attractive.

oh my gosh...this thread is getting annoying. everyone all the cars you guys listed are good freaking cars k? what the hell does it matter which one is better if you like the car than you like the freaking car. The Z is a good car the Porsche is a good car all the cars you listed above are good cars. Each one has weaknesses and strengths now cut the freaking crap! Freaking annoying!

I just wanted to chime in, cause I haven't posted much since I joined here... First of all, I am 21 and pay for my own car note, insurance, rent, food, toilet paper, etc.
Secondly, I had been wanting a WRX since I was 16. When I started looking at Z's I realized why I wanted a WRX since I was 16, it was cause I was 16...

The Z is an awesome car both performance AND appearance. Long story short, yes the Z can "hang" with those cars in regards to speed, and honestly a WRX isn't even in the same class, I will just assume you only meant the STI model...
