Anyone know where I can show proof of where the car was manufactured? I recently moved from the US to Canada and I'm thinking of selling the Z here but I need to prove to customs where the car was manufactured for import tax purposes. Thanks in advance.

 

its made in japan. designed in US made in japan.

 

dealership window sticker. it lists japan as country of origin

 

look at the first letter of the VIN as that letter indicates the country of origin. "J" = Japan

 

Just tell em your an American they love us & will believe your every word, you are a goodwill ambassador for the US represent us well

it is on your VIN number. plus all 350Z are made in Japan

 

The US dollar is now equal to or a little less than the Canadian dollar. It a sad sad world. (just felt that needed to be said.)

 

Thanks all. Too bad for me, cars made in Japan carry a 6.1% duty which I would have to pay on top of the sales tax that was waived when I came into the country.
