Default People complaning about 07 problems?

Can't make the rear tires spin by dropping the clutch, saying it just holds and you end up burning the clutch.

Anybody else have this problem

WHAT????

My 07 will bark the tires till 3rd gear with the trac off. And i can do it with it on to but it requires a little more effort.

I hope i am reading your question wrong.
What exactly is it doing?

No it's not a bad thing, it only does it when i'm on the gas hard. It's not good or bad IMO. I don't drag race so it doesn't matter to me if the tires break loose a little bit.

The main Question was he can't get the tires to break loose now that could be bad depending on what he is doing.

He said
"Can't make the rear tires spin by dropping the clutch, saying it just holds and you end up burning the clutch."

I'm not sure what he is doing but the tires should break loose with the torque and hp of these cars it should be easy to spin the tires with the trac control off

Hes refering to how on some 07 cars the clutch gets stuck halfway up on a hard launch. My car is in the shop right now because the clutch fell to the floor and never came back up. Left a big puddle of fluid on the floor too

Eek. I used to have that but i changed my driving style on launches. The car hates to be rev'd long before launching. If you know you're going to launch rev it right before you shuffle off the clutch

Make sure you're up to 2700-3300rpm. This improved my launches. I agree with the revving just before engaging. I'm not the authority, but just someone who enjoys driving aggressively.

07 here also. Nothing wrong here (so far). The clutch problem might be blown up, you usually don't hear about the 07's that DON'T have this problem.

yeah i havent' had that problem it works fine with TCS off, sometimes it spins even with it on if im on an uphill.
i do just kinda get funky smells sometimes if i rev it too much haha. i figured that it was bad and i shouldn't be smelling that so i stopped doing that.

I did have the 'slave' cylinder problem, fixed, but I have always been able to roast em in 1st and 2nd before and after the issue and I've never turned TCS off.

starting to sound like this is 99.9% operator error rather than a car problem

YAH I bet his VDC is on. I've done it a few times thinking I turned it off at 20 mph. I then pop the clutch and the brakes ****** ahold.I agree with Z04

Search the forums. They have a fluid dampener in the clutch line. If you try to launch at high RPMS it'll keep the pedal in. I'm not sure what the cutoff is, but I think it's higher than 3500. I'll need to experiment.

07 owner here. NO problems with the clutch at all. But the TCS will kick in if you try to drop the clutch at high rpms. once its off, its a totally different car.
