Default Yet Another Hit And Run

This is the third hit and run I have had to deal with since I got the car new in February '06. I am praying my insurance doesn't sky rocket.

I hopped in a friend's car to go out for a couple drinks, as we pulled up an hour later, the car seemed like it was quite crooked in the spot.... the front passenger side was actually two feet on the curb due to the impact.

Adjuster goes on Monday. These things happen, but man, if I didn't have bad luck I'd have no luck at all. Poor car, these friggin' impacts really take a toll on the ride as it starts to age.

3 hit and runs in 11 months???? ya sure you aren't the reason my rates keep going up?

go out for a few drinks, back out of a parking spot and snag the front bumper, blame it on someone else?

not being a d!ck, just man that sucks it has happened so many times. best of luck with it all.

i'm surprised to see your rim still in perfect shape considering all the bumper damage.

Nah bro not 11, 22 months. It's almost february '08. Definitely wouldn't post up on the net blaming it on someone else, because that would be geigh.

The other two were quite minor compared to this one, and both happened when I was parked at work. There is an elementary school and a high school in the immediate area and while the students are pretty bad drivers, the mini van soccer moms that drive like maniacs around 3pm every day were definitely the cause of those first two!!!

What can ya do.

Oh my God, you just redefined hit and run.

That guy must be driving an 89 LeBaron to even be able to drive away from that.

Good luck with your insurance.

There is more to the story, the part of how the hell I got hit and by who I don't have those answers but man I would love them.

My guess is it was a bus or a garbage truck... at the least an SUV... it hit the car high and pushed it onto the curb... scraping up the front passenger side rim a tad in the process.

My guys taking it apart tomorrow..we'll find out if there is any suspension damage. I think I got lucky and it's purely a bumper & fender replacement. Too soon to be sure though.

Anyway thanks all for the well wishes.

To the few who think I am making it up... I'm sorry you're so skeptical but I assure you it is what it is. The damage, imo, is pretty convincing that something drove into it was it was possiblty U-turning, causing the bumber and fender to come out and push the car onto the curb. If my car drove into something.... the damage would just be different.

i read on this forum once some one asked if you go to the track and damage your car do you claim it on your insurance, some one responded no you claim it was a hit and run.

Not saying you did this, but thats what came to my mind when i read 3 hit in runs. once again not accuseing you of any thing just that came to my brain when i read this.
