Default Question regarding car's value???

I buddy of mine is looking into getting a Z BUT it has a salvaged title...... Its a 03 Eth with about 45kmiles... he's asking 16k for it. Ive seen the car while it was getting fixed, the hood, front bumber and drivers side fender had to be replaced. I didnt see any frame damage except for one of the bumber supports. But what do you guys think. I drove it and seems ok.....

I don't think they would have issued a salvage title unless there was more than what you saw.

Hell for a few grand more you can get a low milage '06 with a clean title, and no wrecks!!

i would stay away, its not worth the possible headaches.

you may not pay for it now, but you'll pay for it down the road, especially during resale when it happens

With respect, if your buddy is interested in buying a 350Z with a salvage title, your buddy can post his concerns.

Also keep in mind what the insurance costs will be. From what I hear, it is much more difficult to get insurance with a salvage title -- and will probably cost a lot more as well.

No, I bought mine about a 1 1/2 months ago and he really likes the car and knows someone who's selling one which is the one I'm speaking of. Ive seen some 03 with about the same mileage if not more go for about 17-19k touring, eth. but ofcourse not salvaged. And by the way mine is a Track edition not a Eth.

Forget it. He should keep looking. The circumstances with that Z ain't worth 16k.
