I got a new 009 tranny even out of warranty, Nissan seems to be giving them away for 03 owners, just take it in, they will also give you a new clutch for free.

That would be great. I will call Nissan Consumer Affairs tomorrow. Hope I won't have to bring it back to US to get the new tranny. I will keep you updated.

i have just over 104k on my '04... and the transmission and clutch are both working as smoothly as ever. i just changed my transmission fluid and differential fluid about two weeks ago. so far so good.

I agree on this as well. my first car was an 06 civic si. great car for a frist car. enough power to learn on and then move on to whatever u like

Currently and previously had no tranny problem. As for having a 6MT, it's a fun car to have. Not so fun during the winter time with summer tires. Expect to buy all-seasons or winter tires when driving in the snow. With wet pavement, it is tricky sometimes. The tires could lose traction and may cause you to fish-tail. Just be careful have have tsc on for those days.
