Default Best Dealer in the DC metro?

This question is for those of you in Northern VA, DC or MD that have dealt with the Nissan dealers around here.

I just moved to the area about a year ago and don't currently have a nissan, so I have zero experience with the local dealers. Who would you recommend I go with?

Thanks,

I live in Alexandria. I placed my order with Passport Nissan of Alexandria on January 15, 2002. When everyone else here had their order #'s, expected production/delivery date, I contacted my salesman. He e-mailed me back that he didn't know where the people were getting their info and he would let me know when he could. He never did. In fact the only interaction (post pre-order) was initiated by me and no question had/has been answered.

Then I saw a post here about a sales manager at Mike Pallone Nissan in Springfield. The message said something about the mananger indicating that all pre-ordered Z's in the Washington Metro area would be arriving on August 13th. So I called him (around the 3rd of August). What a shock!! While he couldn't confirm that exact date, he did say there would be a batch arriving in a couple of weeks. He also told me that he had an extra Z that he ordered and that I was welcome to it if was to my liking. Then, he spent about 45 minutes recounting his experience in riding in the Z that had been rotated around local dealers (Passport didn't even let me know that such a car would be making an appearence).

Thus, my vote goes to Mike Pallone Nissan. The name of the Sales Manager I spoke with was Josh Bennet.

Dan Shine @ Carmax Nissan in Whitemarsh, MD (A few miles north of Baltimore right off of 95)

- I have an agreed price under MSRP w/ no haggling.
- Very Friendly. I was the first Z he ordered and seemed just as excited ordering it as I was buying it.
- Always returned my calls in a timely mannor
- Called me w / my Tracking Number without my request
- Just called me last week to tell me a Pre-Production Z will be at the dealership next Monday.

I sent Vission (sp?) from this board over to Carmax after he had another bad experiance with a dealer in Northern VA, and from what I understand vission also had a great buying experiance w/ Dan as well.

Herb Gordon in Silver Spring, MD, a few miles north of the beltway on Rte 29. I bought my 1984 300ZX, 1990 300ZX, and 2003 350ZX from them. All experiences have been great. When I bought each of these cars I shopped around dealers but always ended up back at Herb Gordon. They always have a lot of Z's available and seem to specialize in them. I had 3 different salesmen over the years and they all have been great. So has the service. They gave me my VIN number, faxed my order in when they said they were going to, etc. I highly recommend them.

Check out Tischer Laurel Nissan. I met with the internet dealer, Jimmy Allegre. We exchanged a bunch of emails before I put my order in and he was very helpful and quick to respond. He even recommended that I check out this site. Anyways, it was a 500 refundable deposit and he figured my Z would come in around 3 months from now.

Z Dreamer

They don't happen to supply a loaner car for those times when service takes a bit more than an hour do they? I'm tired of Passport and from speaking with the Sales Manager, i.e., Josh Bennet, the service that you speak of doesn't surprise me.
