16 and getting a Z? Instead, who had the worst first car?

When I turned 16 in 01', for $1 my cousins gave me a 1978 Dodge Diplomat. It weighed like 4000 pounds and had maybe 200 hp. Gold velure interior, a kind of off white/pale yellow paint job, and brown vinyl roof. It only had AM radio, so for a few months I just had a boom box in my front seat playing cd's. It had no AC, and any time you used the vents, it would blow out mystery dust all over everyone(probably toxic). On the plus side, it had like 40k original miles, and cruise control. But that just meant everything was rusted from sitting for so long. If it rained, I couldn't use the turn signals, because rain would drip on them and blow them up all over the trunk. The brake lines randomly snapped on me one day when I tried to stop. The entire oil pan was rusting away, and my dad would just help me patch it up, only to have more leaks start. I just had to buy gas and oil every time(basically every 2 days, it was a tank). It also had a tendency to just stop running on the freeway, and then when a mechanic would go to look at it the next day, it would start right up and work fine for weeks before stopping again. But I did end up selling it for $300. Haha, I guess I ended up ahead?

I got an eight-year-old 1990 Honda Accord LX after it had over 120K miles. Lucky tho, because it was clean clean. It now has 120K more miles and finally died on Sunday. It won't start anymore.
My oldest brother's first was a '82 or '83 Datsun 200SX with a woman's voice instead of beeps for keys in the ignition and ajar door warning. Those were the Knight Rider days. It couldn't go 5,000 miles without a break down of something.

91 Dodge Caravan. Peeling paint, leaked oil (got it fixed eventually), smelled funny, saggy headliner, and was a complete turnoff to everyone of the opposite sex. It was a sad time... Seat's were all tore up, so I had hideous pre-owned seat covers with cigarette burns all over them. It really made me appreciate the Z though.
It looked kinda like this: http://www.bpauctions.com/farm2_25.jpg (Except imagine the hood with patches of peeling paint)

88 Dodge Daytona pacifica 2.2ltr Turbo - Age 17. 1st car. I paid $2,000 out of pocket and I didn't even pick it out. My dad did. I was forced to buy it and it ended up blowing up on me like 3 times. 1st was the head, second the tranny, 3rd it just stoped working and had a engine fire LOL
I got $400 out of it from a local shop b/c it had no damage on the body, no rust, trans had just been rebuilt and it had all options in it.
Needless to say I hate thinking about that car still to this day.

1984 BMW. O to 60 in about 23 seconds. No power anything. No heater. When it rained my glove department and trunk filled with water.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is what every teenager should get as their first car.

my parents gave me my mom's 93 honda accord when i was 17, in 2001. not bad except for the scrapes and dents my mom so generously decorated it with.. all 4 corners were scraped up. i added my own personal touches with some bumper stickers, sparkly star stickers inside, and a 'drive it like you stole it' window sticker [bad, bad, bad, bad idea]. the whole car would start to shudder at speeds above 110mph. i don't blame it
finally sold it after graduating from college in 2002 about a month after i bought the z, made $1500. had been burning oil for the last year. 167k miles on it when i sold it.
ooh yeah, my mom had gotten into a pretty bad accident with it.. body-wise, the back half of the car was pretty damn new. the new trunk never was totally waterproof though, the trunk always smelled wet/slightly moldy after a rain.
