What the hell happened? I read his message and now all of his posts vanished. I sincerely hope that it was a joke because this really isn't the best way to handle things...

he appears to have just disappeared, his profile is gone, there is no record of him every existing on this forum other than his name on the main thread page, which is a link to nothing.

he posted in the moderator forum with something similair, but all his posts were gone before I could read it.

I am contacting a few people I know that are very well versed with internet and what not, and I am going to try to do all I can to get this site up and running...

at this point I warn you all now, if I find where this is hosted, and there IS a back up of it anywhere, I will revert to it. this will mean all changes since that time are gone, including new users, posts, points, ect, sorry, but time for trouble shooting is over. if you come back on and your username is rejected it means you signed up after the backup, just register again, and we'll continue on with life...

VQ, if you can still see this, or look at this any. PLEASE, hit me up on AOL at ares675 , if nothing else, just give me takeos phone number, and tell me how to access the site so I can continue to maintain it.

Im sure VQ is watching this, you should all tell him thankyou for all that he's done for us, cause theres certainly been a lot of bitching in his direction for things he's not responsible for.

 

It looks like the IP they are using is owned by U S WEST Internet Services.
The name servers they are using belong to www.via.net.

 

Hey fellows, I've been gone for a week and a half now & just came back to see this mess...what has happened? Can anyone give me the inside to all this?

 

I talked with vq, his account is gone, he deleted it. Im sure he'll still look in on the site tho. but no longer as an admin.

Im not sure that takao has been contacted yet... he didnt say either way, but I did just make an effort to contact him, left a messege with his assistant, and sent him an email. so hopefully atleast now he will be aware of the situation.

VQ gave me access to what he could, so we'll see how it goes then.

Ill let you know if takao contacts me.

VQ is a kid; diligent & competent but a kid. Tough spot for a young guy.

He did one hell of a good job. I'm sure once the problems hit last week, VQ felt overwhelmed & frustrated. Heck, I would have felt the same way & I'm considerable older. He also probably felt he was being blamed which certainly is/was not the case.

VQ, you did a fine job. Hope to see you around when all is fixed.I can assure you, you would be welcomed back by every member here.

If anything I felt Takao was taking advantage of VQ from the moment VQ said he would be the administrator.

As a newcomer, and a mod on another board, I can sympathize with you guys.

Don't let it get you down. This is a great board that is just going through some growing pains.

Victor, thanks a lot. You are and will always be the 350Z GOD! You gave up more time than anyone to help work this board into what it is. If you guys need any more admins/mods or ANY kind of help for that matter, I know I am not the most worthy but I check general, the engine and aero kit, and my regional NE forum forums atleast 5-6 times a day. I check the cleaning/detailing and problems/maintenance atleast once every few days. And all the other forums I peruse occasionally. I would be more than glad to help administrate/moderate this site and do ANYTHING I could to ease the pressure on the current admins/mods.

Being an administrator for such a large site/message board is extremely taxing and I know how Victor feels. One problem like this won't kill the board. It is still useable and functions close to correctly, please don't give up so soon.

 

I don't blame VQ for quitting.....all the people bitching at him about the site being messed up........it wasn't his fault......but people don't care.......nobody has any frickin patience anymore......so we lost a couple of functions on the site.......BFD!!!.....the site is still here, and it's still a good source for information.........i hope VQ comes back someday......he was VERY good at what he did, regardless of his age
