No problem. The Hampton Inn parking lot will still be the meeting point for the convoy.

 

We now have registrations in from 40 states and Canada. This is truly going to be a National event this year and we are expecting to shatter last year's attendence numbers. If you haven't made up your mind about attending yet, what are you waiting for?

Two weeks from today we will be taking to the track at Talladega GP for Z Nationals track day and two weeks from tomorrow morning we will open the gates for the 2008 Z Nationals. Don't miss out.

 

Z Nationals t shirts will be available starting next week. I'm picking them up tomorrow from Best Design Screen Printing. Once we have them here I will post some pics if anyone is interested in buying one in advance of the show.

 

A couple of quick updates.....

I picked up the Z Nationals t-shirts on Saturday and they look great. As soon as I can get some pictures taken and posted online we will have those available for sale at www.znationals.com. We will also have them set up for sale at the Z Nationals.

I mentioned before that we are having to move the dinner and after party on Saturday night due to a growing crowd and concerns that our previously announced venue would not be able to handle it. We hope to confirm the new location today. Most likely it will be the Maple Street Mansion, which hosted the event 2 years ago.

Dinner plans for track day are pretty solid now as well, as we plan to stop at the Mellow Mushroom in Oxford, AL for pizza, calzones, and salads amongst other menu items. For those who would prefer a different meal option there are steak houses and numerous other options in the same area if you wish to split off from the group and explore those options.

 

Little to far of a drive for me.

 

Slacker, lol We've got a few people driving in from Cali and a several from Canada. I've been surprised at how far away some of our registrations have came from.

 

The photo shoot for the 2008 Z Nationals Promo Poster was this past Sunday and here is a teaser from the shoot. We will have the posters available at Z Nationals and will have the models on hand to sign them for you.

This time next Saturday we will be in full swing of the 2008 Z Nationals. We will be an hour into car show judging and starting some of the vendor giveaways. If you haven't made plans to be here next weekend time is running out. Everyone who pre-registers will receive a free lunch voucher and an extra ticket for the vendor giveaways.

 

The Z Nationals dinner and afterparty has a new home. The Maple Street Mansion in Carrollton, GA will be hosting the Saturday night event and will feature local artist Red Tide Saga performing live. RTS plays a mix of original music and a wide range of covers in an alternative rock style. Between sets there will be a live DJ playing various tracks and there is plenty of room at the Mansion to stretch out and have fun.

Dinner, awards, prize give-a-ways and live music are all on the schedule for Saturday night.

 

A lot of people have been asking about Sunday and the events at Atlanta Dragway. As I've mentioned that will be in conjunction with the NOPI Drag racing event that weekend. You can get $10 off admission with your Z Nationals ID and lanyard from Saturday, you must be at Z Nationals on Saturday in order to get the $10 off on Sunday. This gets you in for $25 and includes track passes.
