What gains to expect with bolt ons? 350z mod response? Crap?
I have a friend who is leaning towards buying an s2000 because the 350z allegedly does not respond to modification worth crap, and he will get used to the power much quicker.
I would like a break down of what gains to expect on a 2003-04 with what bolt ons and what kind of 1/4 times can be acheived with this so I can put this misconception to rest. Thank you

i have owned both cars, an 06 S2000 and now an 07 Z. visit the S2k sites, they will say the same thing. without going F/I or spending literally 10,000+ on the engine, you aren't going to get a ton more power out of the F20/F22 engine. the only fun thing about the S2k engine that you don't get tired of quickly is hitting vtec. it's fun, but only lasts about 2 seconds in each gear. it turns in quick and is fun to drive, but the VQ35HR is a lot more fun IMO. the torque just makes it more fun from 2500rpm all the way to redline. i think on the DE engines you can get more out of bolt on mods than you could on a F20 or F22. they're different cars for different people.
