try pulling out in 2nd...its actually pretty easy unless its a dead stop start. It has enough torque and gearing to pull out. I used to do that in my Camaro because it had a heavy duty clutch and 4.30 gears. I hardly ever use 1st

So I finally mastered it, thanks to alot of yours guys suggestions, and practice. Figure ill put my .02 in now. I usually shift at around 10mph. The trick I noticed is shifting FAST from 1-2 and then letting the clutch out smoothly. If you dont go fast, then its alot notchier. You can take your time moving the shifter when your in higher gears, but I noticed fast is imperative with 1st. Like someone else said, holding the clutch for a sec before fully releasing helps too

Fun is an undefined term. I have LOTSA fun in my Zed with Auto tranny, my
friend! Zeds ARE fun, regardless of the tranny, but, for 4 reasons, I chose an
AT: 1. City traffic; 2. freeway traffic jams (i.e. when there's been an acci- dent); 3. 274 ft/lbs of engine torque vs. 260 in the MT; and 4. RELIABILITY OF THE ZED AT!!! THE LAST REASON IS THE MAIN ONE for picking the auto tranny. Good luck!
