I understand why a lot of adults are against young kids in nice cars, but some kids are responsible and shouldn't really be harrased about it. I'm 17 and got my car just before I turned 16, and have had to deal with a lot of crap from the older crowd... it usually starts with a compliment about the car, and ends with something like "that's too much power for a kid." fwiw-- I work, get good grades, have been accepted to good colleges, etc.... I don't know if that means I "deserve" anything, but I think that does make me somewhat responsible and maybe a bit more mature that some of my peers.
Some kids get a fast car and are stupid and get in accidents and get tickets, and then there are others (like my friends and I) who have not been pulled over, who do not drive wrecklessly, and who have not been involved in accidents. Does that mean we're cocky? No. A lot of kids get real defensive when someone older makes a comment about their car and their age, but the key is to stay humble and be grateful that you were in a position (regardless of who bought it) to have a nice car like a Z (or a GT in my case) at such a young age.

One time there was a guy in a G35 and he was all like "My cars fast" and I was like "No!" and he was like "Oh yeah!" and I was like "my viper in my garage at home would smoke you!" and he was like "You got a viper?" and I was like "You cant prove me wrong so yeah!"

Is it not funny that someone at the age of 18 can enlist and fight for our freedoms, but under certain people's logic shouldn't be able to drive a sports car? Still with me? How about this. That same person can also place a ballot to help make the biggest decisions regarding everyone in this country, but they still shouldn't be able to drive a sports car? Hmmmm........something to think about.
