IN Thr NJ\NY Market...You can not find a Z at a dealer in the less the 30,000 price and as far as a base..forget about it...when they come in, there gone within 3 days!!!! take it from me. It took then 10 days to locate my base ans swap for it, because no one had a CS base or was willing to Trade for it!!!!!

Hot car is right!...it's the #1 selling sports car in the US right now!

my performance 6spd was shipped over 500 miles to the dealership once they located one. Everything else was either automatic (not selling well) and/or touring.

misel00:

I searched for a long time for an enthusiast and saw many Base and Enthusiasts under 30. Actually, I had a guy that wanted to sell me a Performance for 29 and change.

Use mycar.com, send out mass emails in 100 mile range. I found the exact and LAST Daytona Blue Enthusiast 6 Speed in the North East in York, PA. 2 hour ride from me, but I got my car. Paid more than I wanted (28,800), but it was the LAST Z with my specifications till Georgia!

Keep looking.... they are places out there that will deal!

The dealership in my town told me in Feb. that they only had 3 cars coming in within two months and they told me just to go to St. Louis to get what I want. Now they have a Redline Auto Touring for $31,500, a LeMans Susnset Touring for the same, and a Chrome silver one that has been on the lot for the past month.

Don't get the auto man. Manual is so much more fun. It also keeps you more attentive on the road.

My Z puts a smile on my face every day because of the transmission, even though I"m gonna need a new one in a few thousand miles =)

desert nissan here in vegas has like 6 right out in front
when i was back in boston- a deolaership in braintree must have had like 10

anyways - this car is still very popular so i'm assuming even if your seeing them at dealerships - they still are not going below msrp

desert nissan had a orange one- leather interior- nav- 18 inch wheels and a bunch of dealership add on's - drl's - some special paint protectant and something else and they wanted 39k !

there is a huge gap in pricing on these things-
you could spend 39k on z and it would be nearly visually identical to one that was 27k- that would leave a bitter taste in my mouth

but hey thats just me-people still but 600 mercedes for a huge premium over the 430's

any vegas owners on the board-

whats your experience with desert? is there even another dealership here?

will i have no choice but to pay over msrp?

Here in the SouthEast it is the exact opposite, you can't find Automatics. I spent a month and a half trying to deal or trade, even just locate my exact car, Silverstone Touring Auto, Trunk Mat, Floor Mat, Splashguards. Couldn't find it. checked the orders coming off the boats over the next two months, not one on there.

Finally had to order it June 6th, and it turned out that was when they shut down '03 orders and I got an '04 placed. Now I'm stuck in the 60--90 day wait....

So all in all I was ready to buy flat out, check book in hand May 1st.....I won't get the car until beginning of Sept......hopefully.

SharpST77-

Lol you're right the Z is a sick sick car. You think sitting in a Z is awesome? Just wait til your passing 5000 rpm in 2nd gear...thats awesome You obviously seem like you want one, hence the selling your soul part..screw the devil man, go save up money, work your *** off, have bake sales, sell your body for the use of others, and dont wait! I originally was sorta in your position...as in waiting over a year or more to get one. But if you can, do it sooner! Its worth it... lol can you guess which of the previous examples i listed above were the most effective ways in saving for my Z??? haha , j/k man the harder you work for it, the sooner it will be outside your home.

sorry this post was kinda useless, but its 4:40am and i cant sleeeep

Default soul selling

Selling your soul won't work. If it came down to it, the devil would rather buy a Z than your soul. Souls are a dime a dozen!
