a buddy of mine called around town like a crazy man and found a place that came out to his work parking lot and did it there....he had to drive around with a tape over all the edges for a week but you couldnt beat the "come to me" service....

best part..only cost him 100 bucks...
this was in tx though....

+1 Safelight charged just over $200 for the one on my Z. They came out and did it under my carport and I watched the whole time. The tech was very experienced in doing Zs so it was quick, clean and damage free.

A week? That's way overkill. Takes the adhesive a few hours to cure.

A glass guy that works with my cousin told me that they scratch the
frames, and don't use primer before replacing the glass. He says that causes
the frame to rust and eventually break. They do it purposely to imports!
They all hate imports, espicially Toyota's. I could not believe what I was hearing, but he was being honest about how they screw with cars.
He tells me that customers are such a-holes, and ask stupid questions, so
they just do some damage before installing the glass. He works for one of the
bigger, more reputable companies. BE CAREFUL!

He's full of it. Even if they did do that the adhesive would go over the scratches the same as the paint does, to protect it from rust.

If it's full coverage it's usually "free", or atleast nothing out of pocket. I guess it may depend on the insurance company.

Why don't you name the company so we know who to avoid.
